A word processing spell check is a nice start. But it may not catch everything. Even the most sophisticated spell check is going to miss correctly spelled but mistaken words including homonyms such as “two”, “to’ or “too”. In addition to spelling and punctuation, I will check for grammatical errors such as subject number and verb agreements, and proper word choices. Your manuscript also will be reviewed for internal consistency and unnecessary repetition.
